DFR Drones · BRINC Guardian
A base ready for the next mission.
Guardian Station automates battery changes and mission-payload loading. It holds four battery sets and up to 20 payloads with climate-controlled storage. Data offload supports Ethernet, Wi-Fi or satellite connectivity. BRINC lists IPX5 and corrosion resistance. A 240 V supply supports continuous operation; with 120 V, BRINC specifies six continuous hours before recharge.
From alert to return
The workflow combines an alert, payload selection, launch and return; after landing, the station swaps batteries and offloads mission data.

Designing a DFR program with ISEC
For a Puerto Rico agency, we propose beginning with response areas, operator availability, communications and installation locations. The design should coordinate pilots, dispatchers and field units, with activation and documentation procedures for each mission. Continuity requires assessing backup power, maintenance and connectivity at the selected site.

Capabilities and applications
Aerial support for emergency calls
Guardian is a Drone as First Responder platform for observing a scene and sharing context with a command center. For Puerto Rico Police and municipal departments, we propose evaluating emergency calls, missing-person searches, traffic incidents and hard-to-reach areas. The operational goal is to give responding crews context before arrival so they can select approaches and positions with better information.
Cameras and performance
BRINC lists up to 62 minutes of flight, a maximum speed of 60 mph and an IP55 rating. Guardian includes 4K visual cameras with 40x optical zoom and dual 1280-pixel thermal cameras with 4x optical zoom, plus lighting, a rangefinder and loudspeaker. Actual endurance varies with wind, payload and mission profile.
A coordinated deployment
A municipal program should define who authorizes missions, which information reaches the pilot and how dispatch receives updates. We propose selecting launch locations and coverage areas around agency needs. Ground crews can use an aerial view to examine blocked routes, position resources and follow scene developments.
Guardian Station and LiveOps
Guardian Station supports robotic battery and payload changes. LiveOps provides browser-based piloting and streaming. Cellular, radio and satellite connectivity depend on configuration. Continuous service also depends on power, communications, maintenance and staffing; communication range does not mean unlimited flight endurance.
Search, rescue and municipal applications
A search can begin with a defined area followed by visual and thermal review by an operator. At a traffic incident, an aerial perspective can support access planning for ambulances and patrols. Following severe weather, agencies can evaluate its use for documenting access and prioritizing inspections. These are proposed applications, not guaranteed automatic outcomes.
Planning with ISEC
Define station infrastructure, communications, power backup, training and recording management. The agency must obtain applicable aviation authorizations and establish mission procedures, particularly for beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations. Purchasing equipment does not itself authorize flight.
